Taylor Swift e Post Malone estão juntos no single e, agora, clipe oficial de "Fortnight", lançados nesta sexta-feira (19). A cantora divulgou o vídeo oficial da primeira música de trabalho do seu novo álbum, "The Tortured Poets Department".
O clipe mostra Taylor e Posty vivendo um amor impossível, com uma estética utilizando imagens em preto e branco. O vídeo traz uma curiosidade em seu elenco: dois grandes nomes de Hollywood, os atores Ethan Hawke e Josh Charles, contracenam com os músicos, como dois cientistas.

Sobre o título "Fortnight" e seu significado
A palavra "Fortnight" é considerada um termo arcaico na língua inglesa que significa "catorze noites", ou seja, duas semanas.
Essa música é o pontapé inicial de "The Tortured Poets Department", com uma conexão direta ao tema em muitas de suas canções: o ex-namorado da cantora, o ator Joe Alwyn, que assim como o termo "Fortnight", é originário da Inglaterra.
Outra suposição feita ao título é que este faz referência à notícia do envolvimento de Joe com a atriz Emma Laird, que começou a ser veiculada aproximadamente 12 dias após o término do relacionamento com Taylor. O período de tempo quase se aproxima às "catorze noites" referentes ao nome da música.
