Nos últimos dois anos, Florence Welch dedicou-se à composição e produção de "Everybody Scream".
Neste projeto, trabalhou em colaboração com Mark Bowen, da banda Idles, Aaron Dessner, do The National, e Mitski.
O single conta ainda com as contribuições do produtor James Ford, do multi-instrumentista James McAlister, e do músico Stuart Bogie.
